Record time in the context of a task

Record the project and task behind the work alongside total hours. Describing the work makes the entry easier to understand later.

Example day: design 2 hours, test findings review 1.5 hours, project meeting 0.5 hours. The total of 4 hours can be assessed with its work context. These figures are illustrative.

Organize weekly approvals

Weekly approval helps teams review time entries within a shared period. Define entry, review and approval responsibilities in advance. Check missing entries and incorrect task assignments before reporting.

  1. Record the work date, task and duration.
  2. Check for missing and duplicate entries at week end.
  3. After review, assess the report for that same period.

Interpret effort and cost reports

A high hour total does not automatically mean high productivity. Consider completed work, complexity and waiting time together. Cost analysis requires accurate inputs and a clearly defined scope.
